Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This role is vital in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance for privacy and confidentiality
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary requirements
- Support clients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or concerns
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement
- Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or transfers
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and training in resident safety procedures are highly desirable
