Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial, commercial, and residential electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects, ensuring all work meets NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues within complex electrical circuits and systems.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve system failures efficiently while adhering to electrical safety procedures.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, wiring diagrams updates, and compliance records.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or apprenticeship certification with proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Extensive experience with commercial & residential electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and safety procedures related to electrical work.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Ability to operate power tools safely while maintaining a focus on precision and quality workmanship.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols; handyman or frame carpentry skills are a plus for versatile project support.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly under pressure while following all safety procedures.
