Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to provide coverage for a six-month maternity leave assignment. This position is ideal for someone with strong data entry and accounts receivable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and able to manage billing-related tasks with minimal supervision. Experience in the waste industry is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process customer billing and invoices.
- Assist with accounts receivable functions, including posting payments and maintaining customer accounts.
- Review billing information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized billing records and documentation.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding billing inquiries.
- Support the accounting team with additional administrative duties as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality of financial and customer information.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar accounting support role.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Waste industry experience is a plus, but not required.
Requirements:
- Ability to work on-site in Freehold, NJ Monday through Friday, 8:00 - 4:30pm
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have a clear background and drug screening.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
