Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts (shifts on average are 7 hours)
- Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development
- Manage food preparation to uphold quality standards and food safety regulations
- Supervise front-of-house functions including customer service, serving, and cashiering using Toast POS system
- Control inventory levels, monitor food production, and manage food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize costs
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including food safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, onboarding new team members, and conducting performance evaluations
- Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules and resolving operational issues promptly
- Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality, and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service supervisory role with a strong background in managing fast-paced environments such as quick service or casual dining restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems order processing and cash handling
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, team management, and supervising diverse teams
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards, and kitchen management procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high operational standards
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within the food industry is preferred but not required; hospitality or hotel experience is a plus
