Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire young learners during their foundational years. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum tailored to toddlers’ developmental needs, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and early literacy and numeracy skills. Your expertise in childhood development, classroom management, and instructional design will ensure each child receives personalized attention and educational excellence. As a leader in early childhood education, you will collaborate with fellow educators to implement best practices, utilize learning technology effectively, and uphold educational standards that support holistic growth for every toddler.
Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, integrating curriculum development principles and learning technology tools such as LMS (Learning Management Systems).
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment through effective behavior management strategies and conflict resolution techniques tailored to toddlers’ needs.
- Conduct ongoing student assessment using quantitative analysis for student progress evaluation to inform instructional adjustments and academic interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and special education accommodations for children with disabilities or additional needs.
- Utilize assessment-driven instruction methods and Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks to support diverse learners’ academic and social-emotional development.
- Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians regarding child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through written reports and verbal updates.
- Maintain compliance with all educational regulations, health and safety standards, and childcare licensing requirements while documenting classroom activities meticulously.
Experience
- Proven experience teaching young children in preschool or toddler care settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
- Background in early childhood education with knowledge of childhood development theories such as Montessori or other pedagogical approaches.
- Experience developing curriculum that incorporates literacy education, math fundamentals, physical education activities, and library services for early learners.
- Familiarity with assessment tools for student performance data analysis and designing individualized educational plans when necessary.
- Prior work experience collaborating with fellow teachers on lesson planning, instructional design, and implementing academic interventions within private or public school environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds including those requiring special education services or behavioral support.
- Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
