Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery and proper food handling
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout service
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for bills and tips
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and ability to engage guests effectively
- Culinary experience or understanding of food preparation, sanitation, and food safety protocols
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining professionalism
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and tip calculations
- Prior experience in serving roles such as host/hostess or bussing is advantageous
