We are currently seeking a safety-focused and experienced Bendi Operator to join our warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a Bendi (articulating) forklift in a fast-paced distribution environment and a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Position Summary
The Bendi Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a Bendi forklift to move, store, replenish, and retrieve inventory throughout the warehouse. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting order fulfillment, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations while adhering to all safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Bendi (articulating) forklift to transport, store, retrieve, and replenish products within the warehouse.
- Load, unload, stack, and relocate materials while following company safety procedures.
- Put away inbound inventory into designated rack locations accurately and efficiently.
- Replenish pick locations to support daily order fulfillment.
- Retrieve products from high-bay storage for customer orders.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and promptly report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Utilize RF scanners and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to accurately record inventory transactions.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper product handling and location verification.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities as required.
- Ensure warehouse aisles, racks, and work areas remain clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including receiving, shipping, pallet wrapping, and staging products as needed.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and warehouse team members to meet productivity and service goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating a Bendi (articulating) in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Valid Bendi Certification (current or ability to obtain certification upon hire) is required.
- Experience with warehouse inventory systems and RF scanners preferred.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, shipping documents, and inventory labels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working at heights while operating warehouse equipment.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures, including refrigerated or freezer environments if required.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the food distribution, wholesale, or logistics industry.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience operating additional material handling equipment such as Electric Pallet Jacks (EPJ), Reach Trucks, or Stand-Up Forklifts.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
