Production Trainer
Job Grade: S7
Typical Hours: 4:30 am – 3:30 pm
Typical Schedule: Monday – Thursday
Position Summary
The Production Trainer conducts all internal position-specific training as described in the Cheese department's production procedures. Upkeep of all training materials and record-keeping of all training sessions will also fall under this position.
Essential Functions

Responsible for training all employees, and responsible for the accuracy of the entire forklift training and recertification program.

New hire training on all packaging room positions.

Responsible for delivering all new hire production orientation training for cheese plant new hires.

Assists the manager and supervisors with the creation and review of all SOP’s.

Assist in both safety/QA investigations that require procedure analysis or review.

Assist Production Supervisors to ensure all shifts are consistently performing tasks uniformly according to SOP’s.

Coordinate the training of all non-packaging room positions throughout Cheese Plant.

Conducts 2-week review for all new hires in the Cheese Plant and assists leads/supervisors on 30 and 60-day reviews.

Effectively communicate with leads/supervisors/managers on employee progress, strengths, weaknesses, and needs.

Act as a role model for new Valley Queen employees.

Assists the Safety Department in performing job specific safety tasks (PPE analysis, Job Hazard Analysis, etc.)

Follow all GMP’s and personal hygiene standards to ensure the production of safe quality products that meet customer specifications.

Expected to enter employee file notes as often as appropriate.

Actively participate and provide input in the interview process for new cheese plant employees.
Required Education and Experience
Bilingual in English/Spanish. High School Diploma or GED is required for this position. Current forklift certification required. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
