Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a school-based setting in Gainesville, GA. This is a contract opportunity for the current and/or upcoming school year, working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLPA will play a key role in helping students improve communication skills and access their educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP

Provide direct services to students in individual and small group settings

Support students with a variety of communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic skills

Assist with data collection and documentation of student progress toward IEP goals

Prepare therapy materials and maintain organized records

Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers

Follow all district, state, and federal guidelines related to special education services
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field

Active California SLPA license required

Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
