Job Summary
Buzz and Bustle Coffee & Bodega Join our dynamic team as a Customer Service/Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face and efficient operator at our retail or food service location. In this role, you'll deliver exceptional customer experiences by managing sales transactions, handling food and beverage orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food or retail purchases with a positive attitude.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer orders in food service settings, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, credit card payments, and give correct change.
- Upsell products or menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including food prep areas, counters, and cash register stations, adhering to sanitation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely when assisting with food preparation or service tasks.
- Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants, retail sales transactions, or food industry roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Experience with food preparation, handling, or kitchen operations is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and maintaining a clean workspace in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Food safety certification or experience managing food safety protocols is advantageous.
- Retail store experience or grocery store background will be considered a benefit.
