CEI’s entertainment client is seeking a Java/GCP Software Engineer to join their team!
Job at a glance:
- This is a long-term contract, with an initial term of 6 months, this is an ongoing position and is planned for extension and/or permanent placement
- Pay rate is $64-$69/hr W2 + eligible to sign up for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k) on day 1
- Hybrid position, onsite 4 days/wk and remote on Fridays
- Serve as a developer on the SCSP team, using technologies such as Java, Spring, GCP, GKE, MongoDB, Terraform, and web service interfaces (JSON/REST).
- Help enable new warehouses and integration flows on the platform, including building workflows to meet warehouse and LOB requirements.
- Own and maintain integration mapping documentation between SCSP and upstream/downstream systems, and help structure mapping and onboarding work from requirements through validation.
- Coordinate work across consumer and producer systems, track dependencies, align with partner teams, and keep integration workstreams moving forward.
- Help the team adopt AI coding assistants and agent-based workflows (including Skills and reusable playbooks) to speed up development, investigation, and documentation.
- Proficient in Java, GCP, GKE, and MongoDB.
- Experience building scalable, high-volume applications.
- Experience integrating with enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Maven, Jenkins, and SOAP/REST web services.
- Ability to take high-level requirements and independently define user stories, design solutions, and implement features with minimal oversight.
- Experience owning the full software development lifecycle from concept through deployment.
- Experience structuring integration or mapping work across multiple systems or teams.
- Able to organize project work, maintain mapping documentation, and coordinate consumer/producer dependencies.
- Experience using Cursor, Claude, and agent-based Skills.
- Ability to operationalize AI-assisted workflows for development, investigation, and documentation activities.
- Works effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Participates in design discussions and knowledge sharing.
- Independently drives assigned workstreams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience working with distributed teams.
- Mentoring experience is a plus.
- Experience within Supply Chain Management, logistics, warehouse management, inventory, purchasing, ERP, or WMS integrations.
- Experience with field mapping or data transformation between enterprise systems.
- Exposure to Splunk, MongoDB-based triage, or internal developer tooling and playbooks.
