Peterson Northwest Inc. is a General Contractor seeking a reliable, General Construction Laborer/Roofing Tear-off team member. This position is primarily assisting with general roofing operations, roofing tear-off, including material handling, and ground cleanup.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, responsible, organized, and comfortable with heights, going up and down ladders, and working in all weather conditions and has willingness to learn, listen and work hard.
Basic Qualifications
- 18+ years old
- Current valid driver's license (preferred)
- Ability to go up and down ladders
- Not afraid of heights
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to communicate in English. (Spanish helpful but not required)
- Has basic knowledge of hand/power tools, familiar with construction supplies, not afraid of hard work and ability to listen & learn.
- Be able to perform various construction tasks including but not limited to: Clean-up of job site/shop/vehicles, tear-off roof, basic roofing/siding & exterior painting applications etc.
- Ability to follow instructions, pay attention to details.
- Ability to maintain communication with crew, office, and supervisors (verbal & written)
Primary Responsibilities
- 2 years' experience on construction site (preferred)
- Assist on roof (tear-off, clean-up, roofing assistant, layout/material handler)
- Ability to Install paper/metal/starter on roof surface (preferred)
- Provide tools and supply support to workers throughout the day
- Perform ground cleanup and basic jobsite tasks
- Have own basic construction hand tools & belt (preferred)
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Commitment to promoting workplace safety.
- This position will start immediately upon being hired.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
