Front of House Manager — Exchange NuLu
About the Role
Exchange NuLu is a new concept from Brand Hospitality, opening inside Hotel Genevieve in Louisville's NuLu neighborhood. We're looking for an Assistant General Manager who can help run a full restaurant operation with a particular strength behind the bar.
This is a floor role first. You'll be present during service, leading the front of house team, and making sure the guest experience holds up from the first drink to the last bite. Bar knowledge is a bonus we're actively looking for — you'll help oversee bar operations, support the team behind the stick, and have some room to develop rotating drink specials within an established program.
You'll report to the General Manager and work closely with kitchen leadership to keep both sides of the house communicating and moving.
What You'll Do
Daily Operations
- Oversee front of house operations during service, ensuring a consistent and hospitable guest experience
- Manage opening and closing procedures, floor coverage, and shift flow
- Communicate with the kitchen on pacing, priorities, and any service issues
- Handle guest concerns in the moment with confidence and care
Bar Oversight
- Support and supervise bar operations within the established program
- Ensure bartenders are executing to standard on speed, consistency, and presentation
- Develop and rotate drink specials that complement the current menu

- Lead and motivate the FOH team during service
- Assist with scheduling, onboarding, and training of front of house staff
- Hold staff accountable to service standards and address performance issues professionally
- Foster a culture where the team is proud of where they work
Inventory & Cost Awareness
- Monitor bar and FOH supply levels and assist with ordering
- Flag waste, over-pouring, or cost concerns to the GM
- Help maintain accurate inventory counts
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure responsible alcohol service standards are upheld at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and code-compliant front of house
- Support health and safety standards across the restaurant
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in a restaurant management or senior FOH role
- Bar experience or bar management background preferred
- Strong floor presence and natural leadership under pressure
- Organized, communicative, and calm when things get busy
- Genuine hospitality instincts — you care how guests feel when they leave
