Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and uphold health standards.
- Assist with food handling, food preparation, and basic kitchen cleaning tasks to support overall kitchen operations.
- Bypass heavy lifting requirements by safely handling large quantities of dishes and kitchenware during busy service periods.
- Maintain organization of dishware and kitchen supplies for easy access by culinary staff.
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use.
- Adhere to manual handling protocols to prevent injury while managing heavy or bulky items.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours.
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with food handling practices are advantageous.
- Experience with dishwashing, cleaning, or kitchen sanitation in a hotel or catering environment is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards across the kitchen area.
