Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for campers. You will be responsible for leading activities, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring the well-being of all participants. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have a background in education, childcare, or related fields. *PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS-WE ARE LOOKING FOR EDUCATORS.
Duties
- Supervise and engage campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
- Lead educational and recreational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, theater, and nature exploration.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills and managing behavior.
- Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive camp environment.
- Assist campers with personal needs while promoting independence.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in a school/educations environment. REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of first aid practices; certification is a plus.
- Experience or coursework in special education or behavior management techniques is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
- A passion for education and youth development within a camp setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
