Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure a spotless workspace
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients following safety guidelines
- Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas in compliance with health regulations
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene standards
- Aid in setting up catering events or special meal services as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient service delivery
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Must have food handler's certificate
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry demonstrating strong kitchen skills
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and proper sanitation standards
- Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Strong knife skills and experience with meal preparation are advantageous
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude toward serving others
