We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician specializing in Fire Alarm, Access Control, Data, and CCTV systems. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of low voltage technicians in the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, access control, CCTV surveillance, data cabling, and BDA systems.
- Oversee system installation processes by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
- Coordinate field service activities including site assessments, system testing, and troubleshooting to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Manage cabling infrastructure using power tools and hand tools while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs; assist in system installation by providing technical expertise on system capabilities and configurations.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, industry standards such as NEC, and company policies related to electrical experience and low voltage systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation including schematics, system configurations, service reports, and incident logs for accountability and future reference.
- Utilize software for diagnostics and system monitoring to optimize performance remotely when applicable.
- Promote safety awareness among team members by enforcing proper use of tools such as power tools and hand tools during installations or repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or lead technician in low voltage systems including fire alarm (fire detection), access control (entry management), CCTV (surveillance cameras), data cabling, or security systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with schematics, wiring diagrams, sensors (IDS), alarms systems, and surveillance equipment.
- Extensive electrical experience with cabling techniques for low voltage infrastructure; familiarity with NEC standards is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts relevant to security systems; knowledge of remote access software for system monitoring is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and system design documents accurately.
- Skilled in using power tools and hand tools safely during installation or maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients and team members effectively.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems can be beneficial but not mandatory.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
