Job Summary
Shawarma Star is looking for friendly, reliable, and motivated part time servers/waiters to join our team in Columbia, Missouri.
This position is ideal for someone looking for a flexible part time schedule. Most shifts are approximately 5 hours per day, and we are looking for team members who can be flexible and available for both morning and evening shifts depending on the weekly schedule.
We are looking for people who are dependable, communicate well with customers, work well with others, and can provide welcoming and attentive service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Restaurant experience is helpful, but we are willing to work with the right person who is dependable and willing to learn.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take dine-in and takeout orders accurately.
- Enter orders correctly into the POS system.
- Serve food and drinks to customers.
- Check on guests throughout their meal and provide good customer service.
- Process cash and credit card payments accurately.
- Answer customer questions about menu items and ingredients.
- Prepare tables and dining areas before and during shifts.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables after customers leave.
- Keep the dining room, front counter, and server areas clean and organized.
- Restock cups, napkins, utensils, sauces, and other front-of-house supplies.
- Assist with takeout and online orders when needed.
- Communicate with kitchen staff to make sure orders are accurate.
- Help other team members during busy periods.
- Follow restaurant cleanliness, food-safety, and customer-service standards.
- Complete opening or closing duties depending on the scheduled shift.
Pay: $10.00 per hour
