Job Overview

Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance purposes in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist with light maintenance tasks like painting touch-ups or minor repairs in residential or commercial spaces
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting or moving equipment and materials safely
- Support industrial cleaning activities as needed, including cleaning machinery or large surfaces
Experience
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
- Familiarity with cleaning tools such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and following health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and upkeep tasks
- Prior porter or maintenance roles that involved heavy lifting and manual handling preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety standards
