What You'll Do
As a Class A CDL Driver, you'll safely transport frac sand from our Ohio terminal to customer well sites while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle hauling frac sand.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Load trailers at the sand yard by opening and closing trailer lids.
- Deliver loads safely to customer well sites.
- Field Operators unload the trailer—you remain in the truck during unloading.
- Upload freight tickets, bills of lading, and required load documentation through SandDrive™.
- Secure trailers properly to prevent product contamination.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Report equipment issues immediately.
- Operate in interstate commerce as business needs require.
Driver Qualifications
To qualify for this Class A CDL Driver position, you must have:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience within the past 3 years
- Must be at least 22 years old
- Must not currently be or have previously been in the SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) program
- Ability to pass:
- DOT Drug Screen
- Criminal Background Check
- Employment Verification
- Motor Vehicle Record Review
Non-Local Drivers
- Hotel accommodations provided.
Drivers operate under Interstate Oilfield Hours-of-Service regulations using Samsara Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
Our drivers operate company-owned equipment that is professionally maintained.
Every truck includes:
- Automatic Kenworth Day Cab
- Samsara Electronic Logging Device (ELD)
- Front and Rear-Facing Cameras
- Company-Provided PPE
Paid Orientation
- Orientation is held at our Ohio terminal.
- Paid at $22.00 per hour
- Typically lasts 2-3 days.
- Drivers are responsible for transportation to orientation.

Schedule:
Local Drivers:
- Week 1: 5 days on / 2 days off
- Week 2: 6 days on / 1 day off
- 12-hour shifts (day or night rotation)
Non-Local Drivers:
- 6 days on / 1 day off weekly
- 12-hour shifts (day or night rotation)
Hitch Schedules:
- Drivers who are not local to the terminal or unwilling to commute may discuss alternative hitch schedules based on operational needs (example: 3 weeks on / 1 week off).
Reports To: Manager, Fleet Operations (Appalachia)
