Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiology Technologist with specialized expertise in operating C-arm equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing C-arm technology in various medical settings. They will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Operate C-arm equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images during surgical procedures, interventional radiology, and other medical examinations.
- Position patients and adjust C-arm settings to obtain optimal imaging results while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to determine appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for specific procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate C-arm equipment to ensure functionality and accuracy of imaging results.
- Assist in the preparation and setup of the operating room or procedure room, including positioning of imaging equipment and ensuring sterility.
- Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and answering any questions or concerns related to the imaging process.
- Document procedures, patient information, and imaging findings accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement activities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of imaging services.
- Stay updated on advancements in C-arm technology and imaging techniques through ongoing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent credential.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Radiology Technologist, with specific experience in operating C-arm equipment.
- Proficiency in positioning patients and adjusting imaging parameters to achieve optimal image quality.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare team members and patients.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties and work flexible hours as needed.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of radiology and C-arm technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or specialized training in C-arm operation and fluoroscopy.
- Experience working in surgical or interventional radiology settings.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and imaging software.
- Membership in professional organizations such as the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) or Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
