This is a really exciting opportunity to join a fun, kind and energetic team here lead our restaurant team in delivering exceptional dining experiences as our Red Dunn Kitchen serves breakfast and dinner and will soon open Kimchi Princess, an exciting new Korean Asian Fusion with a Hawaiian flair!
The restaurant is attached to the art boutique hotel Trumbull and Porter and works in tandem with the amazing team there and the 20G coffee shop. We all help each other so you will have all the back up you need to succeed and put your stamp on this exciting eating experience.
The Skills You Bring
- Inspecting food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
- Greets and interacts with all Staff/Guests/Co-workers in a professional but laid back manner
- Instructing other culinary staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to promote uniform serving sizes and quality
- Monitoring the temperature of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment to ensure correct cooking temperature for specific dishes
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of food and supplies needed to ensure efficient operations
- Collaborating to determine portion sizes, plan menus, and develop new dishes
- Ensuring compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control regulations
- Assisting in hiring, training, and supervising kitchen and restaurant staff
- Mostly an idea of how the kitchen you own will be run and take on your personality
Experience
- Proven experience within the food industry.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food production, and restaurant management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory effectively while maintaining high standards of quality control.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of successful team management and development.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Previous experience in hospitality is advantageous but not required. We are looking for the right person to be a leader.
We have a great team here in every department in the coffee shop and hotel and the restaurant has had a great start, but we want someone who want to own it while also keeping with the vibe here where we all just want to make the hours we spend at work something that enriches us and we always look out for each other. I am not going to say "we are a family", because no one would come for free, but we for sure are a team.

Pay: $56,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
