A family-owned recreational trailer distributor based in Forest Lake, MN, serving the Upper Midwest for over 30 years. We distribute leading marine, cargo, personal watercraft, utility, and snowmobile trailer brands and support a strong network of dealership partners.
We are seeking a part time, dependable Trailer Assembly and Materials Technician to assemble trailers, operate forklifts, and shop equipment, and support logistics operations. This is a hands-on role requiring mechanical aptitude, physical labor, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The position also offers opportunities for advancement and potential for full time employment into lead roles for high-performing team members.
Duties
- Assemble new utility, snowmobile, personal watercraft, boat, and pontoon trailers using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
- Install optional trailer accessories and components
- Operate forklifts, overhead hoists, and other shop machinery
- Load and unload inbound and outbound trailer shipments, including proper strapping of loads
- Pick, stage, and prepare outbound orders
- Maintain a clean and organized assembly workspace
- Assist with inventory counts and general material handling
- Work on the ground installing accessories inside trailers, including bending and kneeling
- Deliver RSC products to customers using company vehicles when needed
- Support general fulfillment and assembly tasks as required
This hands-on position is ideal for individuals with distribution experience, mechanical skills, and confidence operating forklifts and shop equipment in a busy environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Forklift experience required, including unloading semi-truck shipments
- Experience operating forklifts, compact tractors, and overhead hoists
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs throughout the workday
- Comfort working on the ground, bending, kneeling, and installing components
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
- Familiarity with mechanical components and basic assembly practices
- Strong attention to detail, quality control, and safety
- Efficiency-focused and able to work independently
- Clean driving record required
- Ability to drive and tow a delivery trailer if needed; must be able to obtain or provide a valid medical examiner’s certificate for operating company vehicles
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment
