Property Manager
Year-Round | Full-Time | Salaried Management Position
Lake Williamson Christian Center has been a trusted name in Christian hospitality for over 60 years. Our mission is to joyfully honor God by offering hospitality and facilities that exceed expectations where our guests can be restored, renewed, and reconnected to God.
Lake Williamson Christian Center is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee the care, maintenance, and presentation of our 435-acre property. This position provides leadership and direction for our Maintenance, Grounds, and Custodial departments, ensuring that our facilities, grounds, equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure are maintained safely, efficiently, and to a standard that supports an exceptional guest experience.
The Property Manager is a hands-on leader who is comfortable managing people and projects while also working alongside team members when needed. This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership experience, organization, financial responsibility, and the ability to prioritize the ongoing needs of a large and active facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Leadership
- Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for the Maintenance, Grounds, and Custodial departments.
- Supervise department employees, including scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and development.
- Establish priorities and coordinate daily, weekly, seasonal, and long-term projects across all property-related departments.
- Work alongside employees as needed to troubleshoot problems, complete projects, and respond to facility needs.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, professionalism, stewardship, and excellent service.
- Ensure departments are appropriately staffed and prepared to support Lake Williamson's year-round operations and guest groups.
Facility & Property Management
- Oversee the maintenance and care of Lake Williamson's buildings, grounds, rental properties, vehicles, equipment, swimming pools, and other property assets.
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to protect facilities and equipment and reduce unexpected repairs and downtime.
- Identify facility needs and recommend repairs, replacements, improvements, and capital projects.
- Maintain appropriate records related to inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, equipment, and property projects.
- Assist with emergency maintenance and property needs as required.
- Position will require evenings and weekends as needed.
Budgeting, Purchasing & Inventory
- Develop and manage departmental budgets.
- Monitor expenses and individual budget lines throughout the year.
- Manage purchasing for Maintenance, Grounds, and Custodial operations while following established purchasing and accounting procedures.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels for tools, equipment, parts, maintenance supplies, custodial supplies, and other departmental needs.
- Evaluate purchasing decisions with consideration for quality, cost, longevity, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
- Assist with planning and budgeting for major equipment purchases, facility improvements, and capital projects.
Organizational Leadership
- Participate in weekly management and operational meetings.
- Communicate property needs, project updates, concerns, and priorities with other departments and organizational leadership.
- Coordinate property projects and maintenance schedules around guest needs, events, and organizational priorities.
- Contribute to long-term planning for Lake Williamson's facilities and property.
- Participate in continued education, professional development, and training relevant to facility management, safety, leadership, equipment, and changing industry standards.
Qualifications
- Several years of progressively responsible experience in facility maintenance, property management, construction, skilled trades, or a related field required.
- Strong working knowledge of multiple areas of facility maintenance, which may include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, construction, vehicle/equipment maintenance, grounds maintenance, and general repair.
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Experience managing budgets, purchasing, inventory, vendors, and contractors.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage both immediate operational needs and long-term preventative maintenance and property planning.
- Comfortable using computers and technology for communication, purchasing, budgeting, scheduling, recordkeeping, and facility management.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Willingness to pursue continued education and professional development related to the position.
Position Expectations
This is a full-time salaried management position requiring an average commitment of at least 45 hours per week. Because Lake Williamson operates year-round and serves guests throughout the week and on weekends, the Property Manager must have flexibility in availability when facility needs, emergencies, weather events, or projects require additional attention.
While this is a management position, the Property Manager is expected to maintain a strong working knowledge of the property and be willing and able to work alongside departmental employees when necessary.
The position requires regular movement throughout Lake Williamson's 435-acre property and facilities. Duties may include prolonged standing and walking, bending, climbing, working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, operating tools and equipment, and lifting or moving materials as appropriate to the work being performed.
Our Mission
The Property Manager plays an important role in the ministry of Lake Williamson Christian Center. The condition, safety, cleanliness, and appearance of our property directly impact the experience of every guest we serve. This position requires someone who sees excellent facility management not simply as maintaining buildings and grounds, but as an important part of providing Christian hospitality and stewarding the resources entrusted to our organization.
