Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
Job Summary
In this role, you will prepare food, help with catering, manage kitchen tasks, and provide great customer service. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced kitchen, with opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food safely and efficiently
- Work on the cook line and help clean up at the end of shifts
- Help with catering, including menu planning, food preparation, setup, and delivery
- Make soups, entrees, salad bar items, and grab-and-go foods
- Use food ordering systems to manage supplies and inventory
- Help with vendor orders and invoice processing
- Assist with weekly ordering and planning for cafeteria and catering needs
- Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and product rotation standards
- Operate grills and other kitchen equipment
- Work independently and handle multiple tasks at once
- Provide strong customer service to internal teams
- Suggest ways to improve kitchen processes and service
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of cooking or food service experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Culinary degree or certification preferred
- ServSafe Manager certification required, or must obtain it within 6 months of hire
- Experience with food ordering systems preferred
- Good communication, organization, and time management skills
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods
- Able to work well both independently and on a team
