We are seeking an experienced Field Welding Foreman to lead structural steel welding crews on projects within Florida. The ideal candidate is a skilled welder and proven field leader who can safely and efficiently manage a crew of up to 6 welders, while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and jobsite safety.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Foreman will work alongside the crew, coordinate daily field activities, monitor welding and installation operations, and communicate effectively with project management and other trades.
Must be able to pass a MVR to operate a company vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead field welding crews of up to 6 welders.
- Coordinate daily welding and structural steel installation activities.
- Read and interpret structural drawings, plans, and welding details.
- Perform and oversee structural steel welding and installation.
- Ensure work is completed according to project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Inspect welds and completed work to ensure quality and compliance.
- Assign tasks and monitor crew productivity.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and OSHA/jobsite requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
- Identify field issues and communicate solutions to management.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in an organized and safe manner.
- Complete required daily reports, timekeeping, and jobsite documentation.
- Train, coach, and provide direction to crew members as needed.
- Travel to project locations throughout Florida as required.
Requirements:
- Strong Mig, Stick, Flux Core, and Tig experience. 3 years.
- Supervisor experience with a crew.
- Experience with structural projects.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, technical drawing review, and interpretation of engineering specifications.
- Must be able to pass a 7yr background check, lab drug screen, and a 3 yr MVR (Motor Vehicle Report).
- Must be available to work overtime and to change from day to night shift depending on the project.
Monday to Friday - Some Saturdays
6am to 3:00pm
$25.00 to start
