Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks to build and reinforce the dump truck structure according to specifications.
- Sanding and Surface Preparation: Sand and prepare surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings.
- Paint Preparation: Assist in the preparation of materials and surfaces for the painting process, ensuring the finish meets quality standards.
- Assembly: Assemble various components of the dump truck, ensuring precision and functionality in the final product.
- Polishing and Final Inspection: Conduct polishing and perform a detailed inspection to ensure the final product meets aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Ensure all tasks and processes are completed within specified deadlines to meet overall project timelines and production schedules.
- Ensure the workspace is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards to promote safety and efficiency in daily operations.
- Must provide and maintain a personal set of tools, including but not limited to: hammer, square, tape measure, pliers, screwdrivers, vise grips, and a small set of crescent wrenches, welding helmet.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication techniques.
- Experience with finish welding O35 hard wire and O45 core wire
- Proficiency in using calipers and other measuring tools for precise measurements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to welding and fabrication.
- Must pass a weld test during interview process
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with machining processes is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred).
