BICO Steel is looking for experienced Class A CDL Truck Drivers to join our team. This position is responsible for safely transporting steel materials and products, securing loads, operating a tow motor when needed, and completing local runs while representing BICO in a professional manner.
Shift: Full-time schedule, local runs, 40 hours per week with overtime options. Home every Weekend!
Job Summary
BICO Steel is seeking experienced Class A CDL Truck Drivers who can safely operate commercial vehicles, handle local deliveries and pickups, secure steel loads properly, and assist with loading and unloading using a tow motor as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, dependable, professional, and committed to helping BICO provide reliable service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local runs and customer deliveries.
- Load, unload, and move materials using a tow motor when needed.
- Properly secure steel loads and verify that materials are balanced, protected, and safe for transport.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and BICO load securement expectations.
- Complete required paperwork accurately, including delivery documentation, inspection reports, and other driver records.
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, supervisors, and other BICO team members.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional truck and work area.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Must be at least 23 years old.
- 6 to 12 months of recent Class A CDL driving experience required; 1 year of truck driving experience preferred.
- Must be willing and able to drive a tow motor and secure loads.
- No DWI’s in the last 5 years.
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 4 years.
- Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug test before operating a commercial motor vehicle.
- Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and maintain a professional attitude with customers and coworkers.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Driving, loading, unloading, and material-handling work in shop, yard, customer, and delivery environments.
- May require climbing in and out of trucks, securing loads, operating a tow motor, and working around steel materials and production areas.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical duties associated with safe driving and load securement.
- Use of PPE and compliance with all BICO safety requirements is required.
