Kleer is a cleaning and maintenance company that takes care of short-term rental properties for their owners. Our cleaners are the business. A great cleaner earns us a five star review and a client for years. A bad one costs us the account. Finding good ones, and finding them faster than we lose them, is the single thing that lets us grow.
That is this job. You own hiring from start to finish: writing the posts, sourcing candidates, screening them, and handing qualified people to our Operations team for onboarding. Nobody is going to hand you a playbook. You are the person who builds it.
You work remotely from Utah and recruit for our markets in Virginia and Ohio, so this is phone, text, and video work, not in-person interviewing. You will need to be reachable during business hours in Eastern time for candidate calls.
This is a part time role with real upside. You get a steady hourly base, and you earn a commission on every cleaner you hire who sticks with us. The better you hire, the more you make.
What you will do
- Own the hiring pipeline for our contract cleaners and maintenance techs across Virginia and Ohio. This is yours. You set the pace, you own the results
- Write and post job ads, and keep them fresh and performing. Test different headlines, pay framing, and platforms, and keep what works
- Source candidates actively instead of waiting on applicants: job boards, Facebook groups, local community pages, and referrals from current cleaners. The best hires rarely come from the obvious channel, so go find the ones nobody else is looking at
- Build the filters that separate great candidates from the rest. Design the screening questions, the knockouts, and the small tests that tell you who will actually show up on a Saturday morning. Then tighten them as you learn what our best cleaners have in common
- Screen applicants by phone and video, assessing reliability, transportation, availability, and attention to detail
- Keep the process moving quickly. Good cleaners get hired somewhere else within days
- Hand qualified candidates to Operations for final approval and onboarding
- Collect and track contractor paperwork and onboarding documents
- Keep the pipeline ahead of turnover so Operations is never short-staffed for a weekend
- Track your funnel: applicants, screens, hires, and who is still active at 90 days. Use what the numbers tell you to fix the weak step
What we are looking for
- Experience recruiting or hiring hourly, field, or service workers. High-volume hiring experience is a big plus
- Someone who thinks like an owner. You see a broken step in the process and you fix it, instead of waiting to be told
- Creative about sourcing. If the job board dries up, you have three other ideas by the end of the week
- Comfortable on the phone all day. Most of this job is talking to people and following up quickly
- Self-directed. You are remote and part time, so nobody is watching the clock. You are measured on hires that stick
- Organized enough to run a pipeline without dropping candidates
- Good judgment about people. You are deciding who gets into a client's home, and you are protecting our name every time you say yes
- Reliable internet, a quiet space to make calls, and your own computer and phone
- Based in Utah
Pay and commission
- Base pay of $18 an hour, depending on experience, at about 20 hours a week
- Commission incentive. No cap on commission. Our hiring needs are ongoing in both markets, so the more good cleaners you find and keep, the more you earn
