Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, periodontal health, and the connection between oral health and overall systemic wellness.
- Deliver adjunctive services including local anesthesia, fluoride, sealants, and other preventive or therapeutic treatments within scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the EPIC system in full compliance with HIPAA regulations. (The Office will train on the system)
- Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Actively participate in team meetings to align on patient care goals and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay current on advancements in dental hygiene through continuing education and ongoing professional development, the office provides CE for providers.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
- Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment confidently.
- Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and medical records management.
- Familiarity with EPIC system, documentation review processes, and infection prevention techniques to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Pay: $50.00 - $57.00 per hour
