Maple Springs of North Logan is looking to add an Activities Aide to our team! This is a part-time position. We are seeking an individual who is outgoing, energetic, and enjoys engaging with others. The Activities Aide supports the implementation of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents. This role helps enhances residents' quality of life by promoting engagement, socialization, and overall well-being in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and leading group and one-on-one activities
- Encourage resident participation and provide positive engagement
- Adapt activities to meet varying physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
- Set up and clean up activity spaces and materials
- Support residents during activities, including those with dementia or limited mobility
- Assist with special events, holidays, and outings
- Follow all safety, infection control, and facility policies
- Respond appropriately to incidents involving spills, accidents, or other resident needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in activities, healthcare, customer service, or working with elderly populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Ability to work with residents with varying levels of cognitive and physical ability
Schedule:
- Part time
- 9:30am to 4:00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, with possibility of more hours if desired
- May include evenings and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift
- Ability to assist with resident mobility and transport
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
