Position Overview
This role combines the responsibilities of a Dental Receptionist and Treatment Coordinator.
You will serve as one of the primary points of contact for patients while also helping patients understand treatment recommendations, financial options, insurance benefits, and scheduling.
The ideal candidate is confident, personable, detail-oriented, and capable of building trust with patients while helping them move forward with the care they need.
Key Responsibilities:
Treatment Coordination
- Review treatment plans with patients
- Explain treatment recommendations in clear, patient-friendly language
- Verify and explain insurance benefits
- Discuss financial arrangements and payment options
- Present treatment plans and assist patients in moving forward with recommended care
- Follow up on unscheduled treatment
- Track treatment acceptance opportunities
- Coordinate referrals and specialty care when needed
Administrative & Performance Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate documentation in practice management software
- Monitor treatment acceptance opportunities
- Report key metrics and performance indicators
- Support office goals through proactive communication and follow-through
- Identify opportunities to improve patient experience and office efficiency
Front Desk & Patient Experience
- Answer incoming patient calls with professionalism and warmth
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Greet and check patients in and out
- Manage patient communication via phone, text, and email
- Handle patient questions regarding appointments, paperwork, insurance, and office policies
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support daily office flow and patient experience
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 3 years of Dental Treatment Coordinator experience
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Strong understanding of dental insurance and treatment planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable discussing treatment, insurance, and financial arrangements
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Intermediate computer skills
