Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines
- Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being
- Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques to prevent injury during transfers or repositioning
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding to meet nutritional needs and dietary restrictions
- Maintain a clean, organized environment by performing light housekeeping duties and ensuring infection control standards are met
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments
- Strong understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer's support, and memory care strategies
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid/CPR certification
- Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for transportation needs
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities in home or community settings
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers safely
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
