TITLE: Middle/Elementary Choir Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Professional licensure and an employee of the Harrison County Board of Education
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal
SELECTION: The position is filled by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools
SALARY: Per Harrison County Board of Education extra-curricular assignment schedule
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
- 1. Schedule and conduct all rehearsals.
- 2. Provide refinement of choral technique and expanded repertoire through developing at least one small ensemble.
- 3. Perform publicly outside of school environment.
- 4. Provide choral music for graduation ceremonies, if such ceremonies are conducted.
- 5. Maintain records, reports, and inventories as may be required.
- 6. Accept advice and suggestions in constructive manner.
- 7. Submit requisitions for the purchase of choral music to proper authority with designated budge and designated deadline.
- 8. Attend at least one music in-service, workshop or conference outside of school time during the academic year.
