Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Systems and Technology Director to lead our organization's technology vision and infrastructure. Duties
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy aligned with business goals, emphasizing innovation and operational excellence.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and data centers utilizing VMware vSphere, Cisco routers, firewalls, and WAN configurations.
- Manage enterprise systems such as Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server databases, SharePoint platforms, and Linux-based systems to ensure stability and security.
- Lead technical projects related to software implementation, system upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives following ITIL best practices.
- Supervise IT support functions including desktop support, technical troubleshooting support for hardware/software issues, network engineering, remote access software management, and cybersecurity measures like network security and information security protocols.
- Coordinate vendor management activities for hardware/software procurement and service agreements while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Agile project management methodologies; utilize tools such as Jira or ServiceNow for tracking project progress and service requests.
- Manage IT asset management processes ensuring proper configuration management; oversee the supervision of IT teams across multiple projects while maintaining organizational efficiency through effective time management strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical project & program management with supervisory responsibilities within an IT environment.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience with virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere.
- Strong background in network engineering including Cisco routers, LAN/WAN infrastructure, DHCP/DNS configuration, firewall management, VPNs, and remote access solutions.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise databases using Microsoft SQL Server or similar systems; familiarity with Linux operating systems is a plus.
- Deep understanding of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL; experience with tools like ServiceNow or Jira for workflow automation.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams focused on IT operations, infrastructure projects, cybersecurity initiatives, and software implementations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language; strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or VMware certifications are highly desirable.
