Pay Range: $19–$21/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional rotating Saturdays from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Medical Receptionist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building relationships with children and families while helping our front office run smoothly.
Position Summary
The Front Desk Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and families and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional, and efficient patient experience.
This position is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting payments, managing patient communications, and supporting the daily operations of the practice.
Successful candidates are dependable, compassionate, detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families warmly while providing excellent customer service.
- Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
- Verify patient demographic information and insurance eligibility.
- Collect copays, balances, and process daily payments.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally and promptly.
- Take accurate messages for providers and staff.
- Respond to patient inquiries and assist with routine requests.
- Maintain accurate patient records and scan documentation into the EMR.
- Process incoming faxes, forms, and patient documents.
- Assist with referrals, authorizations, school forms, medical records, and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment.
- Float between clinic locations and assist teammates as operational needs require.
- Uphold HIPAA standards and all Partners in Pediatrics policies.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of medical front desk, medical office, or related customer service experience preferred.
- Pediatric, family medicine, dental, or healthcare office experience preferred.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred; Athenahealth experience is a plus.
- Experience with insurance verification, eligibility checks, copay collection, and patient registration preferred.
- Strong computer skills and comfort learning new systems.
- Professional phone etiquette and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage interruptions in a busy office setting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the clinic during the workday.
- Frequent computer and phone use.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
