We are seeking dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidates will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care across various medical settings, demonstrating expertise in clinical procedures, patient assessment, and healthcare documentation. RNs will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care while adhering to regulatory standards and organizational protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work in diverse environments, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health settings.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques.
- Perform specialized procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and wound care with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage acute pain and provide critical care support in settings like ICU, trauma centers, or emergency rooms with Level I or Level II trauma center experience.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, sonography, and radiology procedures like mammography or spinal taps.
- Coordinate patient discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless transition across care levels while complying with NCQA standards.
- Deliver patient education on health coaching topics such as geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or pediatric needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of intake assessments, medication administration records, CPT coding for procedures, and ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for diagnoses.
- Ensure infection control practices are followed diligently during all clinical activities to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across specialties including cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (Botulinum toxin treatment), behavioral health, or hospice & palliative medicine environments.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and order entry.
- Proficiency in performing complex clinical procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and ventilator management.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support accurate patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
- Familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding practices for accurate medical records billing and reporting.
- Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine settings; trauma medicine background preferred.
- Ability to manage acute pain cases effectively while demonstrating expertise in pain management protocols.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities across various settings such as assisted living or memory care facilities.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical practice.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education on topics like nutrition, home & community care experience, or occupational health initiatives.
