Retail Assistant Manager

We are seeking an energetic, fun loving & positive individual to join our management team!
We are looking for a responsible Assistant Manager or Assistant Manager Trainee. Successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in day to day operations including: providing training and support to the Retail Team Members, customer service, monitoring inventory, visual merchandising and working collaboratively with the business and management teams. You will also research competitive products and analyze consumer behavior to ensure our store meets and exceeds customer expectations. Ideal candidate should also be highly skilled at organization and problem solving with strong Interpersonal and mediation skills. Your job will be highly important in ensuring the store meets goals of efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating daily store operations. (e.g. sales processes, orders and payments)
- Assist the Retail Store Manager & Business Team in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers.
- Assist in evaluating employee performance and help identify hiring and training needs.
- Assist in supervising and motivate staff to perform their best.
- Coach and support new and existing Team Members.
- Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs.
- Promotes sales by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers.
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning.
- Handle customer service opportunities.
- Maintain inventory by checking merchandise to determine inventory levels; anticipating customer demand.
- Assist in conducting regular audits to ensure the store is functionable and presentable.
- Be a valuable team member in preventing asset loss through floor and store awareness.
- Assist in receiving shipments and ensuring product makes it to to the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Assist in ensuring all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines.
- Act as our store’s representative and set an example for our staff.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in retail operations.
- 1+ years experience in a supervisory role preferred, but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain a customer-focused environment.
- Excellent communication skills and conflict resolution skills.
- Problem-solving attitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent; Associates Degree in Business Administration or relevant field is a plus.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work Holiday/Seasonal hours between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
Physical requirements:
- Stand for up to 8 hours
- Operate a pallet jack and move various weights of merchandise
- Lift and carry up to 40lbs
- Climb and balance on ladders
- Bend at waist
- Kneel and squat on the ground
- Reach about the shoulder frequently.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year
