Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Server/Host to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, creating memorable guest experiences from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a welcoming and efficient seating process
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or server in a restaurant environment is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash accurately
- Experience with beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one; food handling experience is a plus
- Familiarity with fine dining service standards is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
