Join our team as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment and trucks for a private fleet. Our trucks are primarily Isuzu diesels and freightliner cummins box trucks. Duties
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems on various heavy equipment and trucks
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement
- Wash Trucks
- Fabricate and modify parts using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues accurately
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan
- Assist in assembly, disassembly, and reassembly of mechanical components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, heavy truck repair, industrial machinery, and farm equipment
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical system repair, hydraulics, power tools usage, welding, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and performing manual repairs in various environments
