Overview

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring all hotel facilities operate smoothly by performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across various systems. Your expertise will help uphold our high standards of quality and guest satisfaction while fostering a positive and proactive maintenance culture.
Duties
- Conduct inspections of electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning,) mechanical, and structural systems to identify issues early.
- Perform repairs on electrical equipment using schematics and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems to optimize climate control throughout the property, including replacing filters, repairing/replacing PTAC units when needed, and calibrating thermostats.
- Execute plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures to ensure water safety and efficiency.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule preventive tasks.
- Supervise contractors during complex projects like welding or electrical upgrades while ensuring safety compliance.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with elevators, boilers, or other building systems promptly.
- Perform residential painting tasks for interior or exterior surfaces as needed to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities to protect yourself and others on-site.
Skills
- Strong understanding of schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints for accurate repairs.
- Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, welders, and hand tools for diverse maintenance tasks.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated system troubleshooting and repairs.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair including troubleshooting compressors, fans, thermostats, and ductwork.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid grasp of plumbing systems and general facilities maintenance practices.
- Ability to read technical schematics and manuals confidently in troubleshooting complex issues.
- Experience in supervising contractors effectively while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with hotel staff and vendors about ongoing maintenance needs.
- Familiarity with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) supplies management to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
