The Springs at Boca Ciega Bay, a 109-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in St. Petersburg, is seeking a CNA Van Driver/Scheduler to join our dedicated care team. About the Role
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and scheduled activities
- Coordinate and schedule resident appointments, ensuring timely transportation arrangements
- Communicate with healthcare providers, residents, and the care team regarding appointment details
- Provide compassionate care and support during transport
- Assist with resident needs as necessary, ensuring comfort and safety
- Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans

Van Driver ( CNA ) Job Summary:
The Transportation Aide ( CNA ) is to provide safe transport of patients, personal effects, requisitions, specimens, charts, and miscellaneous items and assist with patient transport activities as required.
Van Driver ( CNA ) Major Duties and Critical Tasks:
- The Transportation Aide is responsible for transporting patients and/or specimens upon request
- Transports patients using wheelchairs and with stretcher transports
- Transports specimens to the laboratory, and delivers blood and blood products in a timely manner
- Picks up slides for physicians to review from laboratory as requested
- Obtains supplies from central supply as requested
- Participates/uses the automated systems in a timely and accurate manner to assist with patient throughout
- Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.)
- Assists with environmental duties in departments or units including pick up and disposal of recycling/trash receptacles; also linen removal from laundry bins to proper disposal area such as chutes for collection as requested
- Adheres to the standards identified in the facility’s Organizational Competencies
Van Driver ( CNA ) Required Education and Experience:
- Driver must be a minimum of 21 years of age to drive
- Must have active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License and license must be maintained as a condition of employment
- Acceptable history of safe driving as noted through a 3-year driving record check
- Stretcher experience is required for this position
