Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing medical reports, patient histories, and other healthcare documentation from audio recordings made by physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure the highest level of accuracy in documentation.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings from healthcare providers into written text with precision and clarity.
- Review and edit transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any unclear or ambiguous audio recordings.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, procedures, and advancements in the field to enhance transcription accuracy.
- Ensure timely completion of transcription assignments while adhering to deadlines.

- Perform administrative tasks to support the medical office
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Taking and assisting with x-rays
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect patient medical history and update electronic health records
- Draw medications or injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office
- Assist with medical coding for out patient surgery scheduling
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
- Proficient typing skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent listening skills to accurately transcribe audio recordings.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with transcription software and electronic health record systems is a plus.
