Looking for somebody (engineer or technician) that can run Python scripts on low-level hardware interfaces. Must be knowledgeable about hardware interfaces and have hardware troubleshooting skills. Must be able to work independently and coordinate with various product teams. The job will also involve providing weekly status and sharing information and best practices with other members of the teams.
Scope clarity:
Develop, maintain, and debug Python-based hardware validation scripts for board-level and interface-level testing.
Translate hardware requirements into executable test procedures and pass/fail criteria.
Interface and lab skills (explicitly list):
Hands-on with interfaces like UART/RS-422/RS-485, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet/CAN (as relevant).
Comfortable using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power supplies, and signal generators.
Debugging expectations:
Root-cause failures across script logic, firmware, and hardware bring-up issues.
Perform triage with clear issue isolation: test setup vs script defect vs hardware defect.
Code quality expectations:
Write maintainable, modular Python with logging, retries/timeouts, and robust error handling.
Use version control (Git), code reviews, and basic CI/test execution workflows.
Traceability and documentation:
Maintain requirement-to-test traceability and test evidence (logs, captures, summaries).
Document setup instructions, known failure modes, and reusable troubleshooting playbooks.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $46.23/hour - $72.23/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
