Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Director of a Child Care Center to lead and oversee all aspects of early childhood education and care. This role is vital in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership to the center’s staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional childcare services.
- Oversee daily operations, including curriculum implementation, classroom management, health and safety protocols, and compliance with licensing standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, ensuring open communication about their children’s progress and needs.
- Recruit, train, and supervise educators and caregivers with expertise in early childhood education, special education, working with children with disabilities, toddler care, infant care, and classroom experience.
- Ensure all staff hold necessary certifications such as first aid and CPR; promote ongoing professional development in childhood development, behavior management, caregiving techniques, and teaching strategies.
- Monitor classroom environments to ensure they are engaging, inclusive, safe, and conducive to learning for children of various ages including preschoolers and toddlers.
- Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, record keeping for child progress reports, licensing documentation, staff schedules, and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare management with a strong background in classroom management and caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting.
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for working with children of different ages including infants through preschoolers.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality care.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with families, staff members, licensing agencies, and community partners.
- Experience managing daycare or preschool programs with an emphasis on behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions among children.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for children and families alike.

Pay: $44,509.68 - $53,603.05 per year
