Overview
Autotrust Repairs is looking for EXPERIENCED Service Managers for our 3 Locations: Montgomery ~ Navasota & College Station, TX to lead our service department and assist the management on the daily operations of the shop. To oversee daily operations, ensure EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE, and drive profitability through Effective management of service technicians and repair processes.
Duties
- Manage daily service department operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and quality control to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of service technicians and advisors, ensuring high performance standards and continuous improvement
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures across a wide range of automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, oil changes, alignments, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and collision repairs
- Implement upselling strategies by identifying additional service opportunities such as auto estimating, service writing, and recommending necessary repairs to enhance revenue
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with industry standards while maintaining a clean and organized shop
- Handle customer inquiries professionally; provide transparent explanations of repairs and estimates; foster positive relationships that encourage repeat business
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately and maintain detailed records of all transactions
Skills
- Proven experience in auto service management with strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
- Hands-on mechanic experience
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Strong sales
- Mechanical knowledge covering transmissions, oil changes, alignment, suspension systems, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, brake repairs, air brakes, and other automotive systems
- Ability to lead a team confidently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to drive company or customer vehicles as needed
