About the Role
Mockingbird Food Group is a growing food co-packing and manufacturing operation serving national CPG and retail brands. As our volume grows, we're adding a Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to own the day-to-day transactional and administrative work that keeps product moving — processing paperwork, scheduling inbound and outbound freight, and keeping our inventory records accurate.
This role works directly alongside our Inventory Manager, taking the high-volume data entry and documentation off his plate so the team can stay focused on planning and execution. It's a strong fit for someone with hands-on shipping/receiving or inventory experience who is highly organized, comfortable working in systems, and looking to grow with a fast-moving company.
What You'll Do
- Process and file shipping and receiving paperwork (BOLs, packing lists, receiving documents, lot and production records)
- Schedule inbound receipts and outbound shipments; coordinate carrier and dock appointments
- Enter and reconcile inventory transactions — receipts, transfers, adjustments, and finished-goods builds — in our ERP/WMS
- Maintain accurate lot, expiration, and traceability records in line with food-safety requirements
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to confirm dates, resolve discrepancies, and keep shipments on schedule
- Track and follow up on open purchase orders, short shipments, and documentation gaps
- Support cycle counts and periodic physical inventories
- Partner closely with the Inventory Manager and production team to flag issues early
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in logistics, shipping/receiving, inventory control, supply chain, or related administrative work — food, beverage, or manufacturing experience a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong data-entry skills and comfort working in an ERP or warehouse management system; solid Excel
- Highly detail-oriented and organized; able to manage high transaction volume without sacrificing accuracy
- Clear communicator who can coordinate across carriers, vendors, and internal teams
- Dependable, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-paced production environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice to Have
- Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP
- Familiarity with food-safety documentation and practices (lot tracking, FIFO, FSMA/SQF/HACCP)
- Forklift or warehouse experience
