Veterinary Technician/Assistant Job Type: Full-time
Job Description: As a member of the Grace Animal Hospital team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our patients and providing exceptional service to our clients. We are looking for individuals who are versatile and adaptable, as this position may involve a combination of responsibilities depending on your experience and skills.
Responsibilities: Veterinary Technician/Assistant:- Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures, examinations, and treatments.- Monitor and care for animals in the hospital.- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies.- Educate clients on pet care and medication administration.- Assist with radiographs and laboratory tests.- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and welcoming attitude.- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment book.- Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries.- Handle client billing and process payments.- Maintain and update client records.- Assist with general administrative tasks.
Qualifications:- Strong communication and teamwork skills.- Compassionate and dedicated to animal care.- Ability to lift and restrain animals when necessary.- Proficiency in computer and office software.- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.- Love for animals and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service.- Flexibility in working hours, including mornings and evenings.
Wage: $18 per hour - $21.00 per hour depending on experience, skill, training, and education
