Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages, incorporating literacy education, motor skills, social-emotional learning, and early intervention strategies.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and effective classroom management techniques.
- Conduct regular child development assessments to monitor progress and identify individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share child progress, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Maintain detailed lesson plans, daily activity logs, and classroom records in compliance with licensing and program standards.
- Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any suspected child welfare issues or abuse.
- Support physical education activities and incorporate movement-based learning to promote healthy physical development.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies.
- Experience with special education practices and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Previous experience teaching physical education or implementing literacy education initiatives is advantageous.

Pay: $17.73 - $21.26 per hour
