POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the team performs to the highest levels and SLA commitments are met with exceptional customer service, whilst also being a conduit between support and development. They will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our systems & networks for our users. In this role, they should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture, also passionate about security and data protection. They will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to take ownership of incidents whilst ensuring issues are being prioritized and resolved effectively.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)

Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices

Monitor network performance and integrity

Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure

Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness

Mentor team members on technical issues
-
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)

Communicate with users when needed

Maintain complete technical documentation

Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

Assist Managing Attorney in evaluating department procedures and workflow regularly to identify opportunities for improvement.

Completes regular quality audits of staff’s work, records results, client files, and counsel’s staff.

Reviews job performance and provides direct feedback related to performance and success for each direct report.

Provide guidance to department leadership on staffing needs.

Performs fundamental problem solving and assistance on various software applications and hardware systems for the firm.

Accurate and timely management, capture, resolution, and closure of support calls within agreed SLAs.

Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies. May train employees.

Performs routine technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves general system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.

Assists with reviewing, evaluating, and recommending solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
